Yoga With Chrissy

I love the creativity of teaching, interweaving a sequence with philosophy and mindful focus. On one level you connect with your breath and move to build strength, flexibility, and balance. But within the same practice you can be guided to go within and find stillness, to learn about yourself and find a deeper connection.

Sneak a little fitness/relaxation into your lunch hour. It's a great opportunity to test out yoga if you’re new. Soak in some green and sunshine maybe a dog cuddle as well!. This class is suitable for beginners. I offer modifications and also intensifications for seasoned yogis.

Giving Back

In Buddhism there is “Dana” the concept of selfless giving without anticipation of return or benefit to the giver.

It benefits the both the giver and receiver and is a lovely part of the practice of yoga. Donations to “Sydney Food Share” are completely optional.

Bring food items to yoga, donate cash, or contact Sydney Food Share direct to donate food or money. The 5 basics to donate- poppas, long life cheese and crackers, chunky soup eg beef, long life milk, Maggi 2 minute noodles.

“Sydney Food Share” is a wonderful organisation. They offer food hampers, often for people who find themselves suddenly in need… Supporting struggling families, domestic abuse victims, the homeless, Palestinian refugees…

Yoga is your own practice, choose what you need in this moment…

Chrissy’s yoga classes are a blend of flow, held poses, yin, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. It’s good to have options – modifications and intensifications, depending on where you are on that day or in your practice. I love to use props myself for poses that I find challenging and I understand how different our bodies can be.

To get the most physically out of a 1-hour class my Yoga philosophy is short, easy to understand and practical for every day. If you’re interested in going deeper into yogic philosophy check out my blog or find me on my socials where I share regularly.

Reviews

  • Chrissy is an exceptional teacher. She tailored our private sessions to suit my unique needs- encouraging, supporting and educating me on positioning, stretching and breathing. I left each class feeling a release of tension and a more peaceful mindset. Chrissy has a wealth of knowledge about poses, anatomy and the underlying philosophies of yoga. Each session with Chrissy was both relaxing and invigorating. I would highly recommend her.

  • Chrissy’s yoga was exactly what I needed. The way she teaches, is great for me, with options for areas where I am less flexible. It was relaxing but at the same time invigorating. I felt like my body had been stretched in a good way and felt soo calm afterwards. I highly recommend her and her classes.
